DRII Rallies Past Swifty512, Wins Morgan Keegan

In three very difficult sets, DRII harnessed his second title of 2011, outlasting Swifty512 in the final of the Regions Morgan Keegan Championships, 6-7, 6-4, 6-4.

Swifty512’s return game was on fire. So good in fact that he almost won his first title of the season. Almost. DRII countered his English opponent’s best weapon with some firepower of his own, overcoming a one set deficit to capture the ITST 500 hard court championship.

For the season, DRII is now 19-4. The World No. 4 now has three MS titles to his career credit.  With the difficult loss, Swifty512 slipped to 13-6.

DRII: “Tough match. I had to change up my serve to try and neutralize his lethal return and wait for errors.”
