ITST NewsDon Struggles Continue, Falls to Djokovic_Fan in Great Britain Written by Cro Morgan 29 Jun'10 - 13:13
Having not won a title since September 2009, Don was hoping to reverse the trend on British grass. Djokovic_Fan however wasn’t in a cooperative mood, turning aside the five-time champion the final of the AEGON International, 6-3, 6-4. Still without a title in 2010, Don departed Eastbourne with a match record of 28-12. In sharp contrast, the championship was the 13th for Djokovic_Fan as the in-form World No. 1 improved to 75-6.
WHAT THE PLAYERS SAID
Djokovic_Fan: “Very nice and close match . This was fast Agassi match on grass, like two crazy players on court. I can say for this one, classic example of "Clash of the Titans.” Well played mate, and like you said, see you in Wimbledon final, maybe.”
Don: “We didn't play long time and he surprised me little with his game-style. In first set I simple didn't exist, and when I wanted to forget about it, I just screw up my serve opening game in second set - and that's all, game over. Overall match without history, fully deserved win by Djokovic Fan. Now I see that its not surprise that he is winning everything, but if we meet again it won't be so easy for him next time.” Tournament link: AEGON International
