PetoneLoco Claims Maiden Title in Lyon, Edging Past Nastase

In the title match of the Grand Prix de Tennis de Lyon, both PetoneLoco and Nastase fought until the end to win the ITST 250 event. After 1h46 minutes, PetoneLoco came on top in the all-Argentine battle, clinching his first title ever, 5-7, 6-1, 6-4.

Current World No. 7 PetoneLoco did not only win his maiden title on the tour, but he drew level in head-to-head matches with Nastase as well – now three wins for each.

Being unbeaten for six consecutive matches - and a match record of 30-27 - PetoneLoco certainly experiences a crucial motivation boast before the Paris Masters.

Nastase failed to secure his second career title after winning his maiden tournament at the ITST Open last year. Slumping to 23-31, the World No. 16 also loses important points necessary to climb in the world rankings.
