The SIM tour for TS3 has officially begun. The rules are the same rules that were used in the last SIM tournament, Sim Test Tournament 3:
All attributes are limited to between 50 and 89(!)
Only one attribute may be orange
One of the following attributes must be white: Forehand, Backhand or Power
In addition, the regular tournament rules still apply regarding serving and returning:
When serving, you must stand in the default position or closer to the center.
When returning serves, you must stand behind the baseline.
You can sign up for the first tournaments here:
Xbox 360: Cali, Colombia Challenger
PS3: Cali, Colombia Challenger
The regular tour rules (40-90) will remain unchanged at this time, and you are free to play tournaments on both tours.

After ditching my 89,79,79,79,69 settings that I used at the Sim-Tester event for a more balanced set-up I am beginning to come round to the idea of a SIM tour.
Had some great matches against people playing with Federer and Nadal, not sure if I'll win much on tour but could be a lot of fun. A lot will depend on whether people play it for fun or just to win when they create their characters.
Now I have got over my US Open losses, look me up on PS3 for practice.

Powerful,with weakness on Bh (the real Davy is maybe more "quick",with weak on the Fh...  )
or my Santoro

I don't know if he's really well-balanced,but i played some WT matchs with him and i founded him quite hard to play  ...
If i create another guy it would be another Santoro (with maybe more abilities to react quickly...but dunno how to do this ...) or a Gilles Simon (able to react quickly too,but with some more "weapons")...But i still hesitate...Well...I have a week to decide myself!...But i'm really nit sure i have the correct kind of chara for me...Maybe i more need one like my old "Carlos Moya"! (isn't it Amazing Ziz?  )...Able to run on every ball and to hit some crazy risked shots!...

Been waiting for realistic tennis on here since i started and finally we have it. Should be so much fun, so is the SIM still following the same ATP calendar yes?

wow....i say im retired from 90-40....and say ill only play a sim tourney if it comes about....well....here it is.....this is much apprecitated guys....sim is so much more fun....im definitely rusty though...i havent played in days....the last guy i played was anteros...he won 6-0 6-1.....but that prolly happens frequently to players who play against him....i cant hit a winner against him to save my life.....but neways thanks ITST i have been looking forward to some type of sim tournament

I just want to add:
In my opinion SIM Tour is not only about limiting stats, it is also about the complete SIM experience. Guys, please, lets try to be as creative as we can with our players. Lets try and really emulate the game of Tennis!

Nice idea, but if we could just ask that people be creative with their characters then we wouldn't need separate rules.

Damn you!  You right.
Still, I think the rules allow the people who are willing to be creative to remain competitive. Sure, there will be plenty of "clones" but I can certainly speak for my self, I plan to use some really extreme setups!
Hows 89 stamina 50FH - 50BH sound?

well, my sim guy is as followed
fh89 vol50
bh69 spd79
srv72 pwr79
ret70 stm52
if i were to make it more realistic i could turn my stamina up to at least 60(if not more) i think the stamina being high would make it more "realistic" because it would then limit everything else...i would definitely have to turn my fh down and probably turn my spd down....coz i can not sacrafice my return stats or my serve stats at this point

Im quitting 90/40 but ill only play the GSs and just doing the SIM tour now, so much more fun.

every character is allowed by SIM TOUR?
or it give some bodyindex restrictions ?
