EpoxFR collected a seventh title of the season by comfortably defeating first time finalist Holla Itz Mike 6-3 6-4 in the final of the Mercedes Cup.

Holla Itz Mike came into the final with nothing to lose, without even a ranking to his name, and nobody giving him a chance against his more illustrious French opponent, who had already collected six titles this year.

Undeterred by his under-dog status, the American gave a promising account of himself, but ultimately Epox ran out a comfortable winner without really having to find his very best form. Epox extends his 2010 record to a stellar 55-13 (7-0 in finals) and will be looking to take the final step up on the ladder, by landing a first Grand Slam title in a few weeks time at the US Open.

PS3 TS3 Men's Singles SIM - Maximo Ploughs Through Likos86321 In Swedish Final

World number 6 Maximo (Nakamura) collected his third title of the year when he brushed aside the talented Cypriot Likos86321 (Cannon) 6-2 6-2 at the SkiStar Swedish Open.

Maximo had been on great form all week, taking out Coke4 and Brgerflipr for the loss of just 11 games collectively in earlier rounds. Unluckily for the unseeded Likos, Maximo maintained the level he had demonstrated in his earlier rounds as he completely dominated the match, applying constant pressure with his punishing returns, whilst defending his own delivery with ease.

At the end of the 72 minute encounter Likos admitted he had simply been beaten by a better player on the day “Maximo is on fire! You were too good today for me, and I think for everybody. If you continue to play like this you will be looking to the top of the rankings”

The Champion meanwhile, congratulated his opponent on a great week which had seen him knock out fourth seed Marlonbrando91 on his way to his third finals appearance of the year, and improving his record to 32-20. Maximo meanwhile moves to 53-16 for the year and will move on with high hopes for the US Open Series.

After a tight first set Minnesot AS sprinted away from Mack2300 to capture his first title of 2010 at the SkiStar Swedish Open in Bastad with a 7-6 6-0 victory.

Despite an easy passage to his fourth final of the year, many expected Minnesot AS to have a titanic tussle in the title match where he took on Mack2300, who was ranked just a single place above him.

Therefore it came as no surprise when there was little to separate the two players in the opening set, which Minnesot managed to tough out in a tiebreak after a highly competitive first twelve games. However, fans settling in for a long afternoon were soon gathering up their belongings as Mack2300 was blown away 6-0 in the second set as Minnesot AS charged towards the title.

Mack2300 offered no explanation for his second set collapse, but Minnesot AS was not too concerned, having broken his title drought and extending his record for the year to 36-17.

TheSpecialist09 fulfilled his top seeded status by capturing the biggest title of his career with a 7-6 7-6 victory over the second seed Metal 2012 on the red clay of Stuttgart, Germany.

Despite having six career titles to his name, all at Challenger level, TheSpecialist09 took another big step up in his rankings climb by holding aloft his biggest championship to date by claiming the 250 event in Stuttgart.

The blustery conditions surprisingly appeared to give both players more problems on return than any other part of their game, and there were no breaks to be found in the match. However TheSpecialist09 rode his luck in the tie-breaks and was able to deliver a straight sets victory.

After the match the Champion praised his opponent “Thanks to Metal first and foremost for being a great competitor. I'm pretty happy with my performance, it was really windy so my return game was a sham and I got a little lucky in the tie breaks. But as they say you create your own luck sometimes”.

PS3 TS3 Men's Singles SIM - Corrbuster Defeats Zintonio For Pozoblanco Challenger Title

Russian powerhouse Corrbuster claimed his third Challenger level title at Pozoblanco, edging past Zintonio 7-6 7-6 in the scorching Spanish heat.

Corrbuster who claimed both his previous Challenger titles on hard courts, marked a solid return to his favourite surface by some inspired tiebreak play against his Italian rival Zintonio.

The match was dominated by powerful serving and a number of quick-fire points on serve, with both players struggling to get a foothold on their returning games. However in the tie-breaks, Corrbuster gambled on his returns and it paid off as a single mini-break in each breaker proved decisive.

Corrbuster improves his record on the SIM tour to 18-7, and will now break the Top 30 and leave the Challenger tour behind, his fallen opponent meanwhile drops to 9-18 with his second final defeat.

Battling a stiff wind over the course of three long days, Hashy Roddick would successfully overcome Montanes in the rain-soaked final of the Mercedes Cup, claiming the ITST 250 clay court title in three comeback sets, 4-6, 7-6, 6-4.

Hashy Roddick was down a set when he suddenly awoke, upping the ante to deny his frustrated Estonian opponent a look at what would have been his first tour crown.

The title was the third for Hashy Roddick as the in-form World No. 7 improved to 37-11.

In dominating fashion, RV_Cobra11 lay claim to his fifth ITST chalice, rolling over Patko7 in the final of the Mercedes Cup, 6-2, 6-3.

RV_Cobra11’s impressive July continued in Germany as the rising World No. 11 Jamaican improved to 53-21 with the straight sets win.

In defeat, Patko7 was denied a chance to hold what would have been his third career championship trophy; his season mark now 20-22.

In straight sets, Radical lay claim to his first title of 2010 - the fourth ITST championship of his career - taking down Aske in the final of the Campbell’s Hall of Fame Tennis Championships, 6-4, 6-2.

The victory left Radical, the World No. 8, with a head-to-head record of 4-2 in matches with Aske; a season mark of 27-13. In defeat, Aske, the World No. 14, slipped to 19-18.

PCTS2 Men's Singles - Krstasd Upsets Hew, Wins SkiStar Swedish Open

Ranked ninth globally, Krstasd improved to 44-21 by bagging the ITST 250 clay court title. In defeat, Hew’s 2010 title count remains stuck at one; his match record now 55-20.

In three nail-biting sets, RV_Cobra11 lay claim to his fourth career crown, upsetting Nitoflament in the title match of the Campbell's Hall of Fame Tennis Championships, 7-5, 6-7, 7-6.

With a flawless head-to-head record of 7-0 in matches with RV_Cobra11, Nitoflament was expected to walk away with the ITST 250 grass court title. In fine form, RV_Cobra11 would turn the tables on his Argentine opponent, razing the favored World No. 4 in three sets.

With the win, RV_Cobra11, the World No. 11, improved to 51-21. His title count stuck at seven, Nitoflament departed Rhode Island with a match record of 50-10.

In three tiebreak sets, Darth_Luisito captured his first tour championship, surviving a stiff test from a hard serving SMP Andyroro in the final of the Pozoblanco challenger, 6-7, 7-6, 7-6.

The victorious Spaniard improved to 17-13 by capturing the hard court title. In defeat, SMP Andyroro was denied what would have been his first career championship, his 2010 match record still on the plus side at 12-11.
